It’s been fine for me. I find at least half the readers say ‘this arc is dragging soooo much!’ for EVERY arc, though the half tends to switch back and forth. I think almost every arc drags for a lot of people when we’re following it online rather than simply reading it in the volumes. We get little drops, dished out slowly…never a full mouthful. It’s always torturous. This arc less so for me than the ‘Natsu’ arc was, for sure…that one was killing me because in a lot of ways I barely felt like I was reading Skip Beat…I was reading Box R. Everything was Natsu rather than Kyoko…there was no Kyoko in sight for the majority of the arc.

Anyway, I can’t remember everything left in the air now but I was confused by the item left on Kyoko’s dressing room table (or whatever) at the end of 147, the ‘final weapon’ or ‘finishing weapon’ that, by the rest of the words in the chapter, will be Ren’s undoing. I can only assume that THAT is his Vday gift, the handmade one that made Kyoko blush to the ears, but before this I thought she’d hidden his Vday gift inside his Bday gift. That’s what makes sense to me because then she gave it to him in the proper order (before Yashiro, for example) and that would be why he had to open it at home because it’s embarrassing. Is his bday gift embarrassing TOO? I’d thought it was because the special handmade Vday gift was in there and she didn’t want anyone to see.

Anyway, that’s the main thing that’s up in the air…that darned package introduced on the final page of 147. Oh and I’m wondering if the fact that 147 was so short means we’ll get a long chapter next, or if they’ll stuff another chapter into Volume 25…usually they keep things the same length for every volume…6 chapters, each 30 pages long (varying from 29-33, say.)
