Empathy by Adali Showbiz’s tough on its talents but it’s worse for the managers that have to deal with them.  Who else can empathize best with the troubles of Japan’s hottest actor’s manager… than another manager?  An excellent Skip Beat! read.  One of the first, and one of the best

Be Like That by Guardian-381 Even though she’s moving forward from the past, there’s always something that manages to pull her back. A giggle, a laugh, a picture, a word.  It doesn’t take much when you’ve sacrificed as much as she has. A short piece on the things lost from Kyoko’s perspective.

At His Back by Golden Meliades One of the perks of being around people beautiful people is… being around beautiful people–or is it?  If Yashiro’s constantly surrounded by beautiful women, and he’s not so bad looking himself, why is it that he’s not seeing anyone?  Another brilliant piece from Golden Meliades.

Regrets by KokoroNoKage What’s done is done.  Even if he wanted to, he couldn’t change the past.  He couldn’t take back the words that were said or the things he made her do.  Despite that, there must be something that he wants to change.  Because regret is only an emotion that breathes when there’s something you could’ve done instead.

Puppy Love by Golden_Meliades A Skip Beat! vignette inspired by the Vie Ghoul Arc.  Kyoko can’t help but think “beagle” when she hears the name “Vie Ghoul.”  It wasn’t meant to be a joke, but what can you do when it is what it is?  Click to read on!

Irony by Fumi A Skip Beat! vignette from Kyoko’s perspective before the days of Tokyo.  This piece was a response to the FanFiction Challenge on bad luck.  Fumi’s take is: bad luck is bad luck, even if it doesn’t seem like it at the time.

A Revelation in Pink by Northlight A Skip Beat! vignette.  This piece is among the first Skip Beat! FanFictions that I’ve read.  It’s fun and spunky and I can totally picture this happening in a Skip Beat! side panel LOL Personally, I’d love to see it a little more polished, but it’s still great for what it is.

Honorable Mentions

Floodgates by DeathMeetsLife Floodgates has an excellent first chapter that I really enjoyed reading.  I didn’t quite like the direction of the next chapter so I haven’t read it since.  Kyoko once took care of Ren when he was sick, so when she falls ill filming on the set of Dark Moon, he takes it on himself to care for her.

School Daze by Demon Sloth My attention started waning after a few chapters but it’s still a fun read! Kyoko’s a regular sixteen year old high school student and Sho’s a regular bully! She has enough problems with her mom. She doesn’t need him tormenting her, too. Things only get worse when she literally runs into the school’s prefect–Ren!
